Never have I ever… Had so much fun at a York Harbor Inn Summer Wedding!
Booking a wedding with me can happen in many iterations.
We could meet years in advance, have an engagement session, grab a drink to talk about the wedding timeline, spend time before the ceremony taking photos and hang out through bustling the dress, toasts, and those first wild songs of open dance floor.
or
We could email a little, talk on the phone once, you could book me 3 weeks before the wedding, and we could not meet in person until after you’ve said I Do and are walking down the aisle with your new spouse.
However you do it, we’re bound to have fun!
The latter scenario is how I met Kathy and George – two of the loveliest people you could ever hope to photograph. And aside from being madly in love, they just want to have fun!
With a beautiful oceanside ceremony at the Hartley Mason Reserve, this York Harbor Inn Summer Wedding bride dressed in a stunning salmon sheath dress and the groom in a beautiful blue suit with coordinating salmon SEAHORSE tie! 🌊🌊
Post ceremony we rocked out some family photos with a great system that Kathy + George implemented that I’ve NEVER seen before. They handed key family members different colored cards to let them know that they needed to be there post-ceremony for photos. Then I called out the “Orange and Blue” group and “Orange group you’re all set, you can go to cocktail hour” etc.
It was so well done!
We found our way to the Oceanside Cliff Walk and back up again to the ceremony location. That’s when the silliness started. I was photographing the beautiful bouquet by the York Flower Shop and they asked if they could do some funny photos. Including, but not limited to, pretending to eat the bouquet, to walk blindfolded (off a cliff?), and to stare down into the depths of a black hole.
I started laughing so hard. Have all the fun with your photos, always, please!
With a vast array of wedding portraits complete (in a speedy + efficient amount of time, of course) we headed back into the Inn for a beautiful lunch accompanied by the string trio, heartfelt speeches from both sets of parents, and another trio – of delectable cakes!
Kathy + George! Thank you so much for laughing and loving as only you can, and having me be a part of it all for a few hours!
xoxo- Melissa
