Sarah & Derek restored my faith in humanity. Probably THE MOST embarrassing thing to every happen to me professionally happened when I met them for their Portsmouth NH Winter Engagement Photos. I didn’t have any batteries for my cameras. It’s like having the nightmare you show up to the first day of school naked, and it actually happening. So I took a deep breath and walked over to them and said well, here’s the deal. I have my film camera with 12 shots on it, and I have these two digital cameras with NO BATTERIES. I offered to refund their session, I offered to reschedule their session, and I offered they could drag my name through the mud. They laughed and said don’t be silly, things happen!! We carefully took the 12 shots of film left on the roll and rescheduled for a week later. And BOTH times were amazing.
First the film. It was my first time shooting a session with film. I love it. But obviously, the stress over working with film made me stupid and forgetful 😉 These shots, though! When we rescheduled for one week later it was like we’d reappeared in spring! (Mid-January is seldom spring!) But we had warm weather and barely any snow left. So nice of Sarah to coordinate with the buildings!
I’m so grateful to you both for your understanding and for sharing your love with me! You are top notch canoodlers!
