When I hear NH Micro-Wedding, all I can think of is the fast-talking guy on the micro-machines commercial.
Seriously though – who was the person to come up with this “new” kind of wedding (that I’ve been doing forever?)
No? It’s just me?
I’ll get over it. Because I don’t care WHAT you call it as long as it has this much love, and joy, and COLOR!
I’ve known the beautiful Honore for quite a few years now. She’s the genius mastermind behind the fun + exercise that is Jubilation Portsmouth. Our sons went to school + camp together, and she’s just one of those people you know you’re lucky to know. (And if you want a walk down memory lane, here’s our first nh headshot/family session together with these tiny baby kids who are all grown up now!)
So when she reached out about her wedding, and said she’d schedule it for when I was available, I was so happy for her. And for me, because I knew it would be so perfectly suited to them.
First, let’s talk about that DRESS ? and the coordinating shoes, which actually came before the dress. Then the location – Bedrock Gardens a beautiful property owned by friends of her parents. Convenient ?
The first look had me in tears. The walk down the aisle by her daughter? Crying. The songs performed by her kids + their friends? Forget about it. ?
The feast?
Pizza, to be delivered at exactly the right time. Only, that one day (literally, that ONE day) they weren’t doing delivery so an hour before go time, they scrambled for plan B, a wonderful friend who would pick up the order and bring it with. A cake that was as beautiful as it was delicious but was misplaced at the bakery and required two trips to be complete, and a flower situation which didn’t match the vision and so a grocery store bouquet was a last minute (and perfect) replacement.
Take all this adventure and add love + happiness, and you have the recipe for the most perfect, for them, NH Micro-Wedding ever.
