Sam & Patrick set out to have a casual, family oriented, fun, Fort Foster Wedding! And boy did they ever succeed! Sam is one of the masterminds behind the beautiful Seagate Studios. I expected greatness from her wedding decor and she did not disappoint!
There was an easy breezy feeling to their wedding adventure. A feeling that was equally matched only by the actual breeze – light and refreshing off the ocean. They said I Do on the grounds of Fort Foster, a historic fort active from 1901 to 1946 with views of the entrance to Portsmouth Harbor, Whaleback Light, Portsmouth Harbor Light and Fort Constitution. After the ceremony, we gathered for some family pictures and a lap around the grounds for couples portraits, (including a quick drive down to the fantastic pier). Finally, we headed back to their house. Their backyard! The once basic plot of land was simply transformed into an enchanted wonderland. A sailcloth tent full of twinkle lights, good food, good drink and even better company!
Sam & Patrick were toasted to tears by their adoring friends and family. The wedding was slightly bigger than intimate in size, but the feeling was so cozy. Like one of the great throw blankets that Sam’s shop sells 😉
