This Exeter NH Wooded Engagement Session was an adventure in waiting!
A few years ago I read about this public open space at the end of my road on Facebook.
Say what? There’s a golf course at the end of my road. That’s not public space!
But, there is!
I asked if they were up for trying to find the space with me and they were in 100%. So we met at the golf club and started walking.
Then I panicked and was like – I think they lied to me. I’m definitely wrong.
So I searched Facebook for the post and found it. Follow past the par 3 whatever golf huh ok… and then you’ll see the very dilapidated sign.
So from where we were standing, I looked just a little harder and low and behold, there it was.
However, as we approached, there was a mangy looking fox running around. But they weren’t scared. I was a little worried about the headline ‘local photographer gets clients attacked by a fox ?’ but they promised they wouldn’t call the news.
I’m so glad we persevered. It’s a strange space, almost otherworldly. It reminds me a little of the Cypress Knuckles in South Carolina and I don’t hate it!
I look forward to exploring it a little more in different seasons!
