When Clara and I first met at her Exeter NH At Home Newborn Session she didn’t even notice me. I mean, I wasn’t offended, she was barely a month old and sleepy at the thought of her first Christmas. But her 6-month and one-year sessions were a whole different story! She was fascinated by me, but not entirely interested in smiling about it.
Her 6-month session was on Swasey Parkway here in town. As much as we tried to wait for the warmer weather, it kind of continuously escaped us. We finally landed a decent morning and snuggled in close. Turns out what she wanted most was to be wrapped in a blanket and show me how she could sit up on her own!
When it came time for her one-year-old session, I arrived at the house to a little bit of a grump. Babies always seem to know what’s up and she had skipped her morning nap. We talked a little about schedules for the rest of the day and then decided to give it a go. Clara was skeptical at first, but with a little coercing.. and the love of the game ‘I can take off my headband’ we started to make some progress in the smile department! Outside was full of leaves, flowers & the best go to – bubbles!
