Let’s see – it all started with…

Brian & Liz.  I met Brian through the Exeter Chamber of Commerce and when he and Liz had their fabulous Portsmouth wedding I was honored to be a part of it.  Brian’s brother, Matt was a groomsman and his wife Sharon was a bridesmaid.  A very pregnant bridesmaid it turned out, but she’s so tiny I never even noticed.  So imagine my surprise just a few months later when she contacted me about doing her little boy Jackson’s newborn photos!  More recently, Jackson became a big brother and I got together again with this beautiful family for Julia’s newborn family photos.

When I saw Sharon that day, she mentioned her sister was (about to be) engaged and that she’d be sure to send her in a beeline to my direction once they picked a date.  True to her word, a few short weeks later this appeared in my inbox:

“Hi Melissa,
You were highly recommended by my sister Sharon. I was wondering what your availability would be for September 19th 2015.
Catherine”

And I’m so happy to say that my availability status was available!

Catherine and Ryan met me downtown for a drink and we discussed the ins and outs of their budget, their needs, and their desires and came up with a custom package that fulfilled their requirements.  That package included a mini engagement shoot so we met up for a quicky on a Friday afternoon 😉

The magic that we produced in a short 20 minutes was amazing!  They were ready to hit the ground running (well sauntering at a leisurely romantic pace actually) but completely into each other, and excited for what we were doing.  I couldn’t ask for more!
Exeter makes such a quintessential New England backdrop, don’t you think?!

My favorites.  I love when my couples trust me enough that they don’t question when I ask them to sit down in a patch of who knows what.  Ok, ALSO my favorite. Because just.. WOAH. Look at it!!
