“If you cannot get rid of the family skeleton, you may as well make it dance.” – George Bernard Shaw
Not to imply that this family has any skeletons, but while looking for a poignant quote, I came across that and laughed so hard I nearly cried. I’d have to wager there are many a dancing skeletons throughout my family tree. But it keeps us unique 😉
I was excited to meet more of Monica’s family! We first met at their winter ocean maternity shoot, and then again when Miss Lillia was just 2 weeks old for newborn photos! Most recently we had a great Christmas time shoot. It seems that the grandparents loved seeing 1/3 of their family, but was hoping to get the whole gang in on the action!
Look at these happy grandparents! I’m so glad they’ll have this memory to cherish for ever! I love looking at photos of my grandparents with me when I was a kid. It’s so interesting to see them in a different time!
Of course we really know who the stars of the show were 😉
Monica had found some wooden numbers to represent the girls’ ages. Also, that owl set on the mantle?! It was all I could do to keep myself from walking out with it. (no, I don’t steal from people’s homes, EVER, but I was so enamored with those hilarious hoots!) Oh that BOW! And those sparkling eyes! A bow AND a boa!?
I love when families have FUN with it. Every day is an opportunity for making memories, and I’m so honored when I’m asked to be around to record them.
The snow is melting and the sun is shining. I’m so excited for all the things this year has to offer. Thanks for being along for the ride!
