Before we dive into these Hartley Mason Reserve York Beach Family Photos – let’s take a walk down memory lane!
Angela and Evan have been a part of the Melissa Koren Photography family for years. We have rocked a Prescott Park Engagement Session (which was apparently never blogged haha), A Dockside York Maine Wedding, Roxy’s newborn puppy shoot, a Winter Tree Farm Maternity shoot, baby girl’s first year, and now – this beautiful 18-month extended family session!
May 2013 is when our adventure began! August 2018 was our most recent adventure. Getting to watch their love, and their family grow is one of my greatest feelings of happiness!
Little miss is at that 18 month age where she just wants to explore and do everything on her terms. Oh, and eat. All the time HAHA. We gently muscled through all the standard combinations and then, just when we decided to call it quits, she sprang into action, found a quiet bench she wanted to sit on, and lit us up with laughter and smiles!
It’s important to let your kids be kids during their photos (I mean, always, but especially during photos). You want to make sure that they’re having fun, and as long as they’re not about to hurt themselves, let them be. I’ll chase them, I’ll gently correct them, I’ll even help them eat their squeezy applesauce if that’s what they want 😉
When you can allow yourself to step back and enjoy the ride, that’s when the magic can happen!
