Mandy & Amanda: Married! 06.19.11 | Manchester, NH Wedding Photography

When I arrived at the Ash Street Inn to begin my time with Mandy & Amanda — I was greeted with the most fabulous purpleness ever. Confirmed, this wedding was going to be ALL*STAR!

The girls got ready together that morning, it was so sweet to watch them share in their nerves and preparations.

The Ash Street was so beautifully quaint — I loved the stained glass and the sitting rooms.

And their perfectly coördinated front porch!

It was just a short drive to the Currier Museum, where they were having their ceremony. Amanda helped her brother with his flower -

Then her dad helped her with her tie — probably one of my most favorite moments, ever.

I loved how much relaxed time these two had for “portraits” and we took full advantage of the amazing museum!

Then it was time for the ceremony. The girls were separated, if only for a moment, and Amanda came in with her father to take center stage

while waiting for Mandy to make her grand entrance across the balcony and down the beautiful staircase.

Even though they’d seen each other, gotten ready together, laughed together and loved each other already that day — the sanctity of that moment was still overwhelming and sweet tears of amazement welled up in Amanda’s eyes. <3

I [heart] symmetry!

When two become one. (I don’t know if it’s because my son has started middle school or if it’s just because I’m off my rocker, but I can’t help it with all these obscure references from that time of my life (cue dirty dancing))

After their intimate ceremony, we were allowed to take photos with a few of the exhibits in the gallery. I was dumbstruck. — like a 4 year old in a candy store — oh. my. gosh.

And just when I thought it couldn’t get any better — we went OUTSIDE! So amazing. And these girls worked it out!

We headed to the Mills for their Fratello’s dinner — but not before taking advantage of the picture windows & fantabulous architecture!

Mandy & Amanda invited their guests to join them for a relaxed, TASTY private dinner. A few toasts, some scrumptious Jacques cupcakes, and beautifully thought out details rounded out their cherished evening with their closest friends and family.

The bag sums it up — as it should be — it was all about love.

Thank you girls for asking me to witness your love first hand!

Danica & Chris 02.13.10

Nothing says love, or true New-Englander, like a Valentine’s Weekend wedding in NH :) Chris and Danica took the ultimate leap of faith — trusting the weather — for their nuptial plans and it went off without a hitch!

I arrived at the Executive Court as Danica was finishing up the final details. I LOVE her bouquet — the pinks & purples with the red roses and the white stephanotis are so romantic!

Hi Danica! You’re glowing!

Precision corset tying 101 and a little multi-tasking preparing the front and back at the same time ;)

Cute. With a capital C.

It must have been getting close to time because next thing I know the room was FILLED with people all making sure Danica looked her best. (good job folks!)

All these final touches can prove a tad boring for little girls who find their own fun in the jacuzzi faucet!

And then — it was time. Chris you look sharp. I love the striations in the tie!

The whole crew was smokin’. Yay for bold color!

Danica’s daughter was very overwhelmed by the whole thing. She had the whole place tearing up. And they are married!

Grandchildren! No lie, these kids were too cute and they stole the show.

A few shots in the foyer of the Best Western and then

Braving the cold for some outdoor shots. I’m loving these columns.

It was time to head in and warm up — and party! More of the beautiful flowers and a GREAT cake awaited us. I just love the simple and unique design on this cake!!

After the first dance it was time for some beautiful and heartfelt toasts.

I love that the kids signed the guest book. I can only smile thinking about showing and reminding them of it on their parents 25th wedding anniversary.

And then — it was time to get down to it. And remember - I already warned you that the kids were center stage!

but they weren’t the only one’s cutting a rug :)

love is timeless.

Who’s having a good time!? You are!

And I did too! Thank you guys for having me at your romantic Valentine’s Day for 100! :)

Monica & Rob 08.16.2008

Monica & Rob and I met last November to do some low key engagement pictures and talk about their wedding in August. The time FLEW by and before I knew it, I was at an amazing ‘back yard’ wedding. The guys constructed a red carpet for Monica & her girls to walk down to the platform they constructed under the huge old willow tree. It was glorious! They also had the largest tent I’ve ever seen! Not to mention the amount of fun.

I arrived at the groom’s family’s house as all the boys were getting ready. I grabbed a few shots of them and then went two streets over to the bride’s family’s house to get them in action!

Monica helped everyone out with the final touches on their makeup after she artfully did her own. Such GORGEOUS girls!

Monica’s plan had been to be promptly ‘fashionably late’ to the ceremony, she wanted to make sure that everyone had the chance to show up!

Well, mother nature thought she do one better — just as we were getting the dress to climb in the limo and head to the ceremony site, the skies opened up. Sheeeeeeeeeeets of rain — SHEETS! But it passed and cleared and the guys set about clearing up ceremony site to proceed as planned, if only a little later.

The limo pulled right up to the end of the ‘red carpet’ and let the everyone off — it was SOO Cool.

The guys had been ribbing Rob about shedding tears, but we were all more than moved when we saw Rob see Monica for the first time -

After formals it was time to party! I love the black & red — its SHARP!

Ok, Ok, I know — this is a whole montage dedicated to the cake — but it was SUCH a cake. A moose, a raft, a fishing bride — I could have taken more pictures than this I tell you!

This was my first true smashing wedding — I love the reactions of the couple in the background.

Did they ever dance the night away! But at one point there seemed to be a lull on the dance floor.. I went out to investigate, and what did I find, but a keg toss in action! I relize the picture of the bride isn’t the crispest, but the form, the poise, the style! (and the last of my flash batteries and staying far away from the incoming keg)

OMG I absolutely love all the pictures! You did an awesome job!!! Thanks again for everything, I couldnt have asked for better!! PS: One of the girls that was in the wedding party wants to have you as her photographer for her wedding when she gets married!! ~Monica

This is Monica’s Dad. Wow you did a fantastic job on the wedding photo’s, thanks for everything Melissa, job well done ~Joe

Thanks to you all for your warmth and hospitality — I had such a great time!

Kate & Marcus 07.12.2008

Kate & Marcus have the most brilliant smiles and kindest hearts ever. So in love the two of them are! We had a beautiful time at their engagement shoot last October and I was so excited when they showed me the Thank You Cards, Save the Date magnet & then the wedding favor stickers they made with their photos from that shoot! The other thing I was surprised to see was how they’d lost so much weight! I heard a guest say that together they’d lost 80lbs before the wedding — that just put the amount of gorgeous the two of them are OTT!

I arrived at Kate’s mom’s house just as hair and makeup were leaving — her girls were a great help in getting her ready to go!

The ceremony was at St. Pius in Manchester — a beautiful church!

Kate’s dad has kind eyes — Kate also, and here they’re brimmed with tears as she looks at Marcus.

Their reception was held at the GORGEOUS Manchester Country Club — we snuck out for a few more formals at sunset.

I loved all of their details, especially the wedding photos of their parents!

The roses for Kate, Marcus & the church are called “Big Fun” — by the end of the night Marcus’ had opened larger and more perfectly than any rose I’d ever seen before!

The DJ was great — if you wanted the Bride & Groom to kiss you had to get all of your table standing, clink your glasses, and then serenade the couple with a song that included the word ‘love’ — 99.9% of the time the DJ would play that song right after till the next table was ready to go. The crowd loved it — it was so much fun to watch!

Kate & Marcus — thank you so much for making me a part of your lives! It was honor to be at such a beautiful event!

Melissa, they look AWESOME!!! We’re so happy with how they came out. Thanks again! I LOVE THEM!!!

Kate & Marcus

What amazing pictures! Melissa did such a great job, and it was so much fun!!!!!
Hope all is well with everyone… Take care, Jen (a bridesmaid) & Hammy (a groomsman) !!
