David: Class of 2011

I love senior portraits, with the exception of every year they’re the same age and I’m another year older! David is Sarah’s nephew and was the first of my class of ’11 seniors. Soft spoken and kind. Very chivalrous. An all around good to know kinda guy! We met at Swasey Parkway and wandered (ok, they wandered, I hobbled in my then upgraded air cast) around to capture some yearbook photos!

Congratulations David, you’re 12 way through senior year! Hope it’s been good so far! :)

Sarah’s Senior Photos 10.09.09

Sarah’s dad won her senior photo session through a door prize I donated to the Exeter Chamber when I first became a member. I met her and her mom in downtown Exeter and she chauffeured us around to a few great fall locations we’d both scouted out.

Sarah just exudes confidence — I think she should be a super model.

Bring it in tight!

I love shooting wtih 2 cameras set up with different lenses. Two totally different feelings with out either of us moving an inch.

I like the chauffeured life! Thanks Sarah & mom for a great tour of our town!

Jahnna’s Senior Photos 10.04.09

I first met Jahnna at her mom — Heather - & Dave’s wedding and was super excited when Heather emailed and asked if I’d be willing to shoot Jahnna’s senior photos.

Willing?! Honored is more like it! I made the trip up to Laconia on a beautiful Sunday afternoon and this gorgeous senior worked.it.out.

So fabulous! I love the hat, and the flower, and the sass!

Jahnna — I hope your senior year was everything you hoped it would be and more!

Kody’s Senior Photos 09.21.09

Oh Kody.

Kody’s aunt Sarah and I have been friends since 7th grade. After taking pictures for Sarah, her sister/Kody’s mum Jenn & their brother Mike — Jenn got in touch with me to find out if I could take Senior Pictures for her baby boy. First I said no — but only because it was just simply not possible that the tiny baby I remember was a SENIOR. Once I realized how old I am I happily said yes yes!

Kody is a character.

And a pirate?

And a tree frog.…

But he is also handsome and intelligent.

I said it once and I’ll say it again.

…Oh Kody.

I’m glad for the moments from my past that creep into my now!

Corey’s Senior Photos 08.30.09

How to make me feel old -

1) Make a really good friend freshman year in high school and become close with her and attend her family functions and get to know her tiny cousins.

2) Tell me one of those tiny cousins is about to BE A SENIOR in High School.

That’s about it. At least for this lesson.

Corey was a great sport and super photogenic (if you ask his mom he got it from her..;))

We met up at one of my favorite places, Great Island Common in New Castle, NH on what started out as a gorgeous afternoon.

Then as we walked out on the jetty this amazingly thick and fierce fog came rolling in! Yeah, rolling, like a bowling ball towards the pins. Ten pin not candlepin. Because that’s how I was raised!

Whoosh — there goes the horizon!

I think it scared the birds away. Yeah, that’s it. And no matter what anyone says I was not at all concerned that that seagull was going to divebomb Corey and then come after me. Not one bit.

It’s coming on shore now — see it eating the tree in the right hand photo? It was crazy!

We retreated even further inland towards the cars and I asked Corey if he wanted to swing — he didn’t even hesitate and jumped right on!

Graduation is just around the corner and Corey will be off to monumental things I’m sure! Thanks for letting me capture this moment in his life!

You did an AWESOME job. Thank you so much. ~Sherry

Dominique’s Senior Photos 08.25.09

Dominique is one motivated girl. I couldn’t imagine a better person to win the free sitting I donated to the my good friend Sue Kennard’s Relay for Life Karaōke for a Cure event last May. (This years Cureoke is May 8th in Newmarket, I’ll be donating another certificate so make sure you stop by and support the cause!)

We met up on a weekday morning at the beach and Dominique totally rocked it out. This girl has mad plans — but because I’m such a slacker blogger I can’t remember what they are! All I know is that come June she’s going to take over the world so you’d all better watch out!

Sass & Charisma. It’s the perfect combination.

Also — she was game for my silly little tricks. ;)

These next two are my favorites — I sat on the rock first to make sure it wasn’t going to make her filthy, but what I didn’t know is that once she was all up in position, she would have to use all her might to keep from sliding down it. It was a riot!

Our time together was over all too quickly but I loved working out an early morning session at the beach for this 2010 graduate!

Congratulations Dominique! Schools almost over! I wish you all the best :)

Montanna’s Senior Pictures 08.16.09

My first class of 2010 senior this past summer was Montanna. She and I met up on a hot August day at Prescott Park in Portsmouth to rock out some fabulous shots. She was up for anything and so sweet but driven all at the same time.

And my favorite from the shoot -

She’s such a photogenic girl! We could have shot all day but it was HOT so we hugged goodbye… now she’s almost graduated! At least I got her on the blog before she headed off to college ;) Congratulations Montanna — You’re almost there!!
