We spent a perfect Labor Day afternoon in Prescott Park capturing some moments celebrating their first four weeks as a family of three! Loving, caring, endearing, sassy, fantastic, beautiful, handsome.… the three of them are practically perfect in every way!

Remember Kristan & John? My two sweet friends who we don’t get to visit nearly enough? Well, now they are my THREE sweet friends we don’t get visit nearly enough. I snuck a few minutes out of my crazy September to finally meet their totally adorable and crazily expressive little boy, Dylan Robert.
A few photos, some great hugs, and some AMAZING pastries all made for a spectacular morning. Thanks for the hospitality and the baby fix!
Meet Vera! Vera’s mom & dad just moved up near Reed & Liza’s mom & dad and they ever so nicely said I was the girl to see for photos. (Thank you Pam!)
Vera immediately stole my heart with her big brown, eyes, long lashes & strawberry heart dress. I loved spending the afternoon with her and her parents and I’m so excited to see them again in a few months - she’s about to make her flower girl debut in one of this spring’s weddings and I can only imagine how utterly adorable that is going to be.
Here are a few of my favorites from our session. This first one is another that falls under the list of ‘if i had a studio this would be all big on the wall’!

Phew! Just as spring is sproinging, I’m getting close to the debut of m|k|p’s 2011 fall season on the blog. But let’s not be hasty, a lot of great stuff happened in the first weeks of September too.
Right off the bat were Tracie & Rob. Rob is a music man (right here in river city! haha, ok sorry) .. and he and James (of Maggie + James = Jacob) do a lot of gigs around these here parts. While I’ve never seen them perform, I’ve heard them both and they’re phenomenal. I should get out and see them. So should you.
What started as a l.o.v.e. shoot, ended up fitting in a few big announcements! I bet you’ll be able to figure out what’s going on 
We planned for Wagon Hill on a glorious afternoon. I always forget how beautiful it is there (even though my engagement photos shot there too, haha). Tracie’s parents were up visiting and so they came along as well. It ended up being a fantastic family affair. Rob and Tracie are so crazy in love with each other, and definitely people you’d want around if something went awry — Tracie’s a nurse and Rob’s and EMT/Fireman. I think doing good does the body good — because these two are gorgeous!

You guessed it, right? In December I photographed their intimate wedding, and as we speak — Tracie’s at the hospital readying to deliver their little girl Lila! I can’t wait to meet her too! I have no doubt she’s destine for great things.

From Beaches to beaches. <3
My lifelong friend Liss and her family invited me down to spend the night with them at their rented house on the Cape in honor and celebration of her parents wedding anniversary. And to commemorate the occasion, it was time for updated family photos! We started in the lovely yard and then wandered down the street to the beach. It was a relaxing fantastic time. And I got to trade wearing my cameras, for wearing baby Caleb! Fair trade!
Thank you Ressel’s for a fantastic mini-vacation! It was great to see you all together again after all these years!
Good Golly Miss Dani! Our adventures just keep on going! Just last week I photographed your THIRD birthday. It doesn’t even seem possible that we’ve been galavanting this long, but what fun it is!
Watching this blonde haired blue eyed beauty go from baby, to toddler, to little girl is so fantastic. When we got together in August, she was full of giggles. And some squirmy wormies. And some pouting. Sounds perfectly two and a half to me!
I mentioned the gorgeous, yes? This picture leaves me feeling bittersweet — I can totally see what she’ll look like in her senior photos. But that’s 15 years from now!
We decided to take a trip down to the boat launch and see what we could see. Quack!
We made sure to take some time to stop and smell the flowers.

Lindsay and her sweet family live in Texas. I was super excited when she contacted me to tell me they would be up visiting and wanted ME to take some photos for them.
We met up at Hampton State Park — one of my favorite beach locations on our tiny NH coastline. It has a very Nantucket sort of feel and these 3 matched that feel perfectly.
Ella was a perfect model in her blue and white china pattern dress. And the toes. I love the little criss-crossed cutie toes!!
The whole family joined in the fun.

I believe she’s saying to me — why do you need to take my picture again?! I told her because she was so cute I couldn’t stop! It’s more than obvious how much she’s adored.
And then — this happened I’m not sure what catalog she came out of, but I’ll take one! I would also make these a giant double canvas set!
The bird behaved, but every time a wave was going to crash, Ella would turn around and look at it. LOL. I still love it.
It’s spectacular when parents have fun with their kids. Thanks for being such good sports guys!!

I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed my time with this special family. Generations are huge to me. I have a photo of my Great-Grandmother (who’s name happened to be Ella!) holding my son, her great-great-grandson. And I have vivid memories (and photos to back them up) of me and my great-great-grandfather. The photos are so important to me because it helps me remember it happened — that it wasn’t just a story someone told me — -
